How much for a Smarthome?
The price varies according to the used materials, the design choices, the level of customization and so on. The shape, the number of floors, the interiors, the type of construction and the materials strongly affect both the aesthetic and functional result and the costs. To avoid surprises and rising costs, the Modom team will follow step by step the design and construction of the building with a clear definition of costs and implementation times.
For whom is a Smarthome suitable?
MODOM wants to adapt the house to the new trends of future generations. Mobility, flexibility, design, speed of assembly and cost control are the basis of our projects. For this reason we have chosen to use dry systems, as we can meet every need with the standards above. We want everyone to enjoy the benefits of a building with quality, beauty and performance and able to adapt to the needs that change over time.
In what time is a Smarthome available?
The time varies according to the Smarthome model and the particularities of the project. Approximately 3 months are required from the start of the building’s production phase to completion of assembly on site. These times do not take into account the time necessary for the design, for the bureaucratic requirements and the execution of the foundation works on which the building will be completed.
Which works are excluded from construction costs?
Costs relating to works for site preparation, construction of the foundation, transport of materials are excluded. The costs of connection of utilities (water, electricity and sewage), any concession charges (imposed by the local authority) and the design costs relating to the professional services of the construction manager and the security manager are also excluded.
Only after having chosen the type of product and after the preparation of a preliminary study of the area, MODOM provides an estimate of the costs related to the items indicated above. In this way the client can evaluate the choices to be adopted in a more conscious and clear way. In the event that the customer does not want to deal with certain works and procedures, the MODOM Team can take charge of such work and estimate them separately.

A wooden house, built according to precise standards of efficiency and energy savings can reassess itself over time compared to a traditional house. Wooden buildings are perfectly resistant to the use of time, especially if regular maintenance is carried out.
How is it produced?
Modom uses numerical control machinery for the production of construction elements, guaranteeing micrometric precision in machining. The production phase, carried out directly in the factory, allows us to optimize pre-assembly times, take great care of the details and avoid errors that create additional costs.
The basic structure of the external wall is customizable, MODOM will provide you with a wide range of solutions to choose from and will help you select the materials most in line with your needs.
Also the performance of the casing can be customized according to the climatic bands and the level of insulation that one wants to reach.
How is the assembly done on site?
Modom will organize the handling and transport of all the prefabricated components and the various products connected to it, choosing the most suitable solution based on the project needs and the distances to be covered.
The prefabricated structural elements are fixed to the foundation structure by mechanical steel joints in the number and position determined by the type of foundation used and by the static calculations. The union between the structural elements that make up the building is interlocking with appropriate mechanical fixing elements.
Why is it eco-sustainable?
Each Smarthome perfectly reflects the idea and values of MODOM regarding bio-construction, eco-compatibility, ecology and sustainability. From its manufacture, installation to final use, our architecture uses less energy than a traditional house. In addition, our component design, manufacture and assembly process is designed to reduce CO2 production.
What materials do we use?
MODOM uses certified and high performance materials. The choice of materials is essential and critical during design to achieve thermal, acoustic and cost savings. All this without neglecting fundamental aspects such as aesthetics, comfort and liveability of interior spaces.
Are your products anti-seismic?
The wooden supporting structures offer extreme safety in the event of an earthquake. Wood, with the same resistance, is five times lighter than reinforced concrete and its mass is about ¼ of that of concrete. The wooden constructions, in the event of an earthquake, are therefore subjected to a minor destructive force. In addition, the wooden building is always made up of several elements joined together through mechanical connections. These, if well designed, act as a further element of resistance to the earthquake.
The connections in fact contribute to dissipating the energy released by the event, avoiding the collapse of the structure. Buildings made of wood are much more resistant to the stresses of the ground due to the elastic nature of the material of its ability to deform slightly. In the event that the earthquake damages or compromises the structure or part of it, the sections can be recovered or replaced in order to make the house reappear and in a very short time.
Are your products fire resistant?
One of the main prejudices and commonplaces of wood concerns its resistance to fire. Contrary to popular belief, wooden houses are able to resist and resist fires in a decisive and prolonged manner.
